This morning, we’ll travel to Masai Mara Wildlife Reserve in time for lunch before heading off on an afternoon game drive. Masai Mara, Africa’s crown gem, is home to a breathtaking assortment of species, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, giraffes, gazelles, and zebras. A pride of lions hunting their prey; a solitary leopard recovering its kill from the upper branches of an acacia tree; a male wildebeest battling to entice females into their harem; and a herd of elephant defending their young from opportunistic predators are all common sights in the Mara. Return to the lodge or camp for Dinner and Overnight.
With a visit to the Mara River, where the wildebeest migration occurs, a whole day is spent game-viewing and enjoying this natural beauty. Both hippos and crocodiles may be seen here coexisting in the same waterways. For good reason, the Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular safari destination. It is a large reserve of infinite flat grassland linked by rivers where wildlife’s most spectacular moments take place. Its main feature is the Wildebeest Migration, when large herds of Wildebeest rush through the park, leaving a path of fearsome predators in their wake. During the migration, take a seat by the river and watch crocodiles and lions battle for stragglers from the clattering herds of wildebeest.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will embark on a game drive to see the world-famous pink flamingos in the shallow alkaline lake in Kenya’s Rift Valley, which covers 62 km2. The route from Nairobi to Nakuru descends the Kikuyu escarpment, providing spectacular views of the Kedong Valley and the mountains Suswa and Longonot. The scenery is beautiful, with sedge, marsh, and meadows interspersed with granite cliffs and outcrops. The park also became Kenya’s first rhino refuge in the late 1980s, and it is now home to both White and Black Rhinos. Lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes, and waterbucks are all at home in this one-of-a-kind park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Return to Nairobi after an early breakfast. Lunch at Carnivore restaurant will include a feast of game meats. After lunch, drive to Amboseli National Park, which is home to the proud Masai tribe and the legendary everlasting snows of Mt. Kilimanjaro and is noted for its breathtaking vistas of the top (weather permitting) and enormous herds of elephants. Enjoy some game viewing on your journey to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
A full day in Amboseli, with game drives at 0630 and 1600 hours. Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most prominent national parks, located at the base of Africa’s tallest peak, Kilimanjaro. It is located 150 miles southeast of Nairobi, near the Tanzanian border. Mount Kilimanjaro, with its snow-capped peak soaring above the clouds, dominates every element of Amboseli. Dinner and overnight stay as described above.
After breakfast, go to Tanzania’s Namanga border. After clearing immigration customs at the Namanga Border Customs clearance, we proceed to Arusha Town for lunch and then to Lake Manyara National Park, where flocks of baboons are frequently observed roaming along the shoreline in succulent woodland. This park is most known for its tree-climbing lion, which may be seen stretched over acacia tree branches. Dinner and overnight at your preferred lodge/camp.
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park through the Olduvai Gorge, often known as the “Land of Humanity” because of the prehistoric residents’ remains discovered there. Arrive at your Serengeti resort in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon wildlife drive. Overnight stay at the lodge..
After breakfast, proceed on a morning wildlife drive amid the spectacular beauty of the Serengeti. After lunch, go on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay as described above.
You will be driven to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, which offers simply stunning vistas. Continue along the rim to meet a team of guides, a ranger, Masai, and donkeys. Begin a wonderful stroll across this unspoiled Masai land. The trail winds around the rim of the crater, passing through open woods and acacia groves. To your right are breathtaking vistas of the crater bottom below, and to your left are the Serengeti’s infinite plains. A very modest tent is constructed in a distant spot where one of the highland volcanoes’ key rivers enters the crater. Dinner and lodging at the lodge
You may expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds on an early morning game drive (with a picnic lunch). Birds spotted here include the Crater Lake eagle, vulture, and flamingos, as well as the stork, bats, gigantic vulture, holy ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long-necked heron, and cow eagle. In the afternoon, you will go on a crater-rim walking safari. Dinner and lodging are at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Arusha. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
